Removal and Installation

Fig. 4 Exploded View Of Disc Brake Assembly.:

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Reinstall two wheel lug nuts to retain disc.
3. Remove two attaching bolts and the caliper from torque plate, Fig. 4, then suspend from chassis.
4. Remove brake pads, anti-squeal shims, pad wear indicator plates, brake line union and support plates.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torque caliper attaching bolts to 18 ft. lb.
