Broken Terminal Installation
1. Position the new terminal on the bus bar in the appropriate position and hold it in place with pliers or a screwdriver as illustrated (Figure 4).
NOTE:
The pre-solder on the terminal will temporarily hold the terminal in place. Use additional solder if required for proper terminal-to-bus adhesion (P/N 00250-0W020).
2. Working as quickly as possible (30 to 60 seconds) to avoid overheating the rear window (using a 200 waft soldering iron or gun), apply heat to the terminal feet (Figure 5).
3. With heat applied to the terminal feet, the solder on the terminal will melt. Apply additional solder and remove the heat (Figure 6).
4. Allow the solder to cool.
5. Attach the wire terminal to rear window terminal.
6. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
7. Check for proper operation.
