Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. On models with air bag system, disarm airbag system as outlined under Technician Safety Information..
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors from starter motor, then remove attaching bolts and starter motor.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Torque starter attaching bolts to 29 ft. lb.
5. On models with air bag system, rearm airbag system as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
