Intermediate Shaft: Service and Repair

COMPONENTS

INTERMEDIATE SHAFT DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE RING GEAR




a. Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring.




b. Remove the intermediate shaft from the ring gear.




2. IF NECESSARY, REMOVE OIL SEAL RING
Remove the oil seal ring from the intermediate shaft.

INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

INSTALL RING GEAR




a. Install the intermediate shaft to the ring gear.




b. Install the snap ring.
