Removal

EGR Removal:





1. Disconnect negative battery terminal.

Removing Air Intake Hose:





2. Disconnect intake air temperature sensor electrical connector.
3. Loosen intake hose clamp.
4. Remove air cleaner securing clamps.
5. Remove air cleaner cover and intake hose.

Throttle Cable Removal:





6. Disconnect accelerator cable from throttle chamber.
7. Disconnect transmission throttle cable in equipped.
8. Remove bolts and cable bracket.

Throttle Body Vacuum Hoses:





9. Disconnect EGR vacuum hoses.
10. Remove fuel evaporation hoses.
11. Disconnect throttle position sensor electrical connector.
12. Disconnect idle air control valve electrical connector.

Throttle Body Removal:





13. Remove securing bolts and nuts.
14. Remove throttle body and gasket.

Vacuum Modulator:





15. Disconnect vacuum modulator hoses.

Air Chamber Support:





16. Remove air chamber stay and fuel inlet hose hold-down.
17. Remove engine support hook.
18. Remove vacuum modulator.

EGR Removal:





19. Loosen EGR to tube union nut.

EGR Vacuum Lines:





20. Remove any remaining EGR vacuum lines.
21. Disconnect EGR temperature sensor electrical connector.

EGR Removal:





22. Disconnect tube and EGR mounting nuts.
23. Remove tube and EGR valve as a unit.
24. Remove and discard gaskets.
