Removal
1. Disconnect negative (-) terminal cable from battery.
CAUTION: Work must be started after 90 seconds from the time the ignition switch is turned to the "LOCK" position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.
2. Drain engine coolant.
3. CANADA only: Remove the 2 bolts. and disconnect the relay box (for daytime running light system) from the radiator.
4. Remove radiator assembly.
a. Disconnect the following connectors and wire:
1. No. 1 cooling fan connector.
2. With A/C: No. 2 cooling fan connector
3. Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) switch connector for electric cooling fan.
4. Wire from clamp on No. l cooling fan.
b. Disconnect the following hoses:
1. Upper radiator hose from radiator.
2. Lower radiator hose from water inlet.
3. Radiator reservoir hose from radiator.
4. 2 oil cooler hoses from oil cooler pipes.
c. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 upper radiator supports.
d. Remove the radiator assembly.
e. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports.
f. Remove the following hoses from the radiator:
1. Lower radiator hose
2. 2 A/T oil cooler hoses
4. With A/C: Remove the 3 bolts and separate the No. 2 cooling fan form the radiator.
5. Remove the 4 bolts and separate the No. 1 cooling fan form the radiator.
