DTC 31 - MAP Sensor Signal

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Check voltage between terminals VC and E2 of engine control module connector.
- Turn up the floor mat on the passenger side.
- Turn ignition switch ON.



- Measure voltage between terminals VC and E2 of engine control module connector.

Voltage specification: 4.5 - 5.5 volts

- If OK proceed to step 2.
- If not OK Check and replace engine control module.

2. Check voltage between terminals PIM and E2 of engine control module connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.



- Measure voltage between terminals PIM and E2 of engine control module connector.

Voltage specification: 3.3 - 3.9 volts

- If OK When diagnostic trouble code 31 is displayed, check and replace engine control module.
- If not OK proceed to step 3.

3. Check for open and short in harness and connector between engine control module and manifold absolute pressure sensor.
- If OK check and replace manifold absolute pressure sensor.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
