DTC 24 Intake Air Temp. Sensor Circuit

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Check voltage between terminals THA and E2 of engine control module connector
a. Turn up the floor mat on the passenger side.
b. Turn ignition switch on.




c. Measure voltage between terminals THA and E2 of engine control module connector.

Intake Air
Temperature.
°C (°F) | Voltage
20 (68) | 0.5 - 3.4 v
60 (140) | 0.2-1.0 v

- If OK check for momentary interruption.
- If not OK proceed to step 2.

2. Check intake air temperature sensor.
a. Disconnect the air temperature sensor connector.



b. Measure resistance between terminals.

Intake Air Temp. / Resistance Chart:

OK if resistance is within the acceptable zone shown on this chart.
- If OK proceed to step 3.
- If not OK replace intake air temperature sensor.

3. Check for open and short in harness and connector between engine control module and intake air temperature sensor.
- If OK check and replace engine control module.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
