Fuel Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection

PROCEDURE

Inspect Relay Continuity.

Testing Relay Continuity:

1. Using an ohmmeter. check that there is continuity between terminals ST and E1.
2. Check that there is continuity between terminals +B and FC.
3. Check that there is NO continuity between terminals + B and FP.
If continuity is not as specified. replace the relay.

Inspect Relay Operation

Testing Relay Operation:

1. Apply battery voltage across terminals ST and E1.
2. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals +B and FP.
If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
