EGR Valve: Service and Repair

PROCEDURE

Removal

1. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Gas Temperature Sensor connector.
2. Loosen EGR union nut.
3. Remove the nuts and remove the EGR Valve and gasket.

Installation

1. Reinstall the EGR Valve with new gasket and secure.

Torque: 13 Nm (9 ft.lb)

2. Reposition and secure EGR union nut.

Torque: 59 Nm (43 ft.lb)

3. Reconnect the EGR Gas Temperature Sensor connector.
