Heater Core: Service and Repair

1. Remove lower instrument panel safety pad.
2. Remove cooling unit as outlined under ``Evaporator Core, Service and Repair.''
3. Drain coolant, then disconnect water hoses from radiator pipes.
4. Remove pipe grommets.
5. Remove A/C control assembly.
6. Remove heater to register center duct attaching screws, then remove.
7. Remove instrument panel lower reinforcements brace Nos. 1 and 2.
8. Remove heater unit electrical connectors and attaching bolts, then remove unit.
9. Remove heater core two attaching screws and plates, then remove.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
