Variable Induction Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE INSPECTION

NOTE: This inspection is performed with the air intake chamber removed from the vehicle.
Refer to Service and Repair.

1. With 53.3 kPa (15.75 in.Hg) of vacuum applied to the actuator, check that the actuator rod moves.



^ If operation is not as specified, turn the adjusting screw.

2. One minute after applying the vacuum in step 1, check that the actuator rod does not return.
