SYSTEM: Injector Circuit

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION



The injectors are located in the intake manifold. They inject fuel into the cylinders based on the signals from the ECM.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK VOLTAGE BETWEEN ECM TERMINALS #10 THROUGH #60 AND BODY GROUND.
^ If OK proceed to step 3.
^ If not OK proceed to step 2.

2. CHECK FUSE "AM2".
^ If OK check and repair harness and connector between ECM relay and battery.
^ If not OK check for short in the harness and all the components connected to fuse "AM2".

3. CHECK CONTINUITY BETWEEN TERMINALS E01, E02 AND BODY GROUND.
^ If OK proceed to step 4.
^ If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.

4. CHECK FOR OPERATION OF INJECTORS
^ If OK check and replace ECM.
^ If not OK replace injector.
