Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

VSV Circuit:

VSV Inspection - Checking Resistance:

Inspect VSV For Open Circuit
- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminals.

Resistance (Cold): 37 - 44 ohms at 2O°C (68°F)

- If there is no continuity, replace the VSV.

VSV Inspection - Checking For Short:

Inspect VSV For Ground
- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between each terminal and the body.
- If there is continuity, replace the VSV.

VSV Inspection - Checking Operation:

Inspect VSV Operation
- Check that air flows from ports E to G..

VSV Inspection - Checking Operation:

- Apply battery voltage across the terminals.
- Check that air flows from ports E to F.
- If operation is not as specified, replace the VSV.
