Wiper Relay

Fig 23 Wiper Relay. 1993 Corolla:

1. Ensure there is no continuity between terminals 3 and 4, Fig. 23.
2. Ensure continuity exsists between terminals 4 and 5.
3. If continuity is not as indicated, replace relay.
4. Inspect front wiper relay operation as follows:
a. Connect battery positive lead to terminal 3 and negative to terminal 6.
b. Connect positive lead from voltmeter to terminal 5 and negative lead to terminal 6. Ensure the meter indicates 0 Volts.
c. Connect positive lead from voltmeter to terminal 4 and negative lead to terminal 6. Ensure meter indicates positive voltage.
