Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. Check fan motor relay, located in engine compartment relay box, as follows:
a. Using an ohmmeter, check relay continuity. If in either case continuity is absent, replace relay. Check for continuity first between terminals 1 and 2, then between terminals 3 and 4, Fig. 10.

b. Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2, then confirm that continuity is not present between terminals 3 and 4. If continuity is found, replace relay.
