Overdrive Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT O/D SOLENOID
(a) Disconnect the solenoid connector.
(b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal 1 and 2.

Resistance: 11 - 15 Ohms





(c) Apply battery voltage between terminal 1 and 2. At this time, confirm that a solenoid operation sound is heard.

If not, replace the solenoid.

(d) Connect the solenoid connector.
