Low Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

Pressure Switch Inspection:

PREPARATION

1. Install manifold gauge set.
2. Unplug pressure switch connector.
3. Run engine at approximately 2000 rpm and check switch operation.

MAGNETIC CLUTCH CONTROL

1. Connect ohmmeter positive to terminal 4 and negative to terminal 1.
2. Check continuity between terminals when system pressure changes as shown on image chart.
3. If not as specified, replace switch.

COOLING FAN CONTROL

1. Connect ohmmeter positive to terminal 2 and negative to terminal 3.
2. Check continuity between terminals when system pressure changes as shown on image chart.
3. If not as specified, replace switch.
