Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The intake air temperature (IAT) sensor is and senses the intake air temperature.

LOCATION
Built into the air cleaner cap.

OPERATION
During fail safe function, the IAT maintains a constant reading of 68° F (20° C).
