Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Testing and Inspection
Jumper Installation:
Initial conditions:
^ Engine at normal operating temperature
^ Idle speed set correctly
^ Transmission in neutral range
- Using a jumper wire, connect terminals TE1 and E1 of the check connector.
- Rpm should increase to 1,000 - 1,300 rpm for 5 seconds, and then drop to idle.
- If the rpm operation is not as specified, check the ISC valve, wiring and ECU.
Connector Identification:
Inspect ISC Valve Resistance
- Disconnect the ISC valve connector.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal +B and other terminals (ISCC, ISCO).
Resistance: 19.3-22.3 0
- If resistance is not as specified. replace the ISC valve.
- Reconnect the ISC valve connector.
