Powertrain Management: Locations

CEC Component Locations:

Circuit Opening (Fuel Pump) Relay
The circuit opening relay is located behind the center console underneath the dash.

Diagnostic Check Connector

Connecting Tachometer:

The diagnostic check connector is located in the left side of the engine compartment near the battery.

EGR Temperature Sensor
The EGR temperature sensor is located on the lower right side of the engine adjacent to the EGR valve.

Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

Behind Center Console:

The ECU is located behind the center console under the dash.


Fusible Links

Location Of Fuses And Fusible Link:

The fusible link block is located on the battery positive cable on the left side of the engine compartment.

Fuse/Relay Block No. 1
This fuse/relay block is located under the dash behind the left kick panel.

Fuse/Relay Block No. 2
This fuse/relay block is located in the engine compartment attached to the left inner fender panel.

Ignition Coil:

Ignition Coil:

Located inside the distributor

Oxygen Sensor
The oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust manifold on the lower left side of the engine.

Signal Generator (Pickup Coil):

Pickup Coil Air Gap:

Located inside distributor

Throttle Opener Vacuum Switching Valve (California model only)
This vacuum switching valve is located on the right side of the engine near the firewall.

Water Temperature Sensor
The water temperature sensor is located in the engine compartment on the left, rear side of the engine.
