Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters

ECU PINOUT VALUES

Voltage Measurement

(a) Disconnect the connectors from the engine and ECT ECU.

(b) Remove the locks as shown in the illustration so that the tester probe(s) can easily come in.

CAUTION: Pay attention to sections "A" and "B" in the illustration which can be easily broken.

(c) Reconnect the connectors to the engine and ECT ECU.

Note:

- Perform all voltage measurements with the connectors connected.
- Verify that the battery voltage is 11 V or more when the ignition switch is in the "ON" position.

Using a voltmeter with high impedance (10 kOhm minimum), measure the voltage at each terminal of the wiring connectors.

Standard Voltage Values:

Note: If there are any problems refer to the test number on the left hand side of the standard values chart.

Resistance Measurement

Check the resistance between each terminal of the wiring connectors.

- Disconnect the connectors from the engine and ECT ECU.
- Measure the resistance at each terminal.

Standard Resistance Values:

CAUTION:
- Do not touch the engine and ECT ECU terminals.
- The tester probe should be inserted into the wiring connector from the wiring side.
