SUBJECT: COROLLA ENGINE COOLANT CONCENTRATION
The attached dealer letter is being sent today to notify certain Toyota dealers of the subject condition. A VIN list of the involved vehicles in your area is attached. Please review this information with your staff and make sure that all appropriate personnel are completely familiar with the details so that they may provide the necessary support to your dealers.

SUBJECT: COROLLA ENGINE COOLANT CONCENTRATION
There is a possibility that the cooling system of some Corolla vehicles has been filled with a coolant that has a reduced concentration of ethylene-glycol.
A VIN list of the vehicles involved at your dealership is enclosed. Please correct any of these vehicles that are in your stock. In the event that an involved vehicle has been retailed, please contact the owner and make arrangements to perform the necessary correction for them.

TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS
1991 NUMMI COROLLA WITH OUT OF SPECIFICATION COOLANT
Drain original coolant.
(a) Remove the radiator cap.
CAUTION: To avoid the danger of being burned, do not remove it while the engine and radiator are still hot, as fluid and steam can be blown out under pressure.
(b) Drain exactly 2 quarts of coolant from the radiator cock.
CAUTION: Be sure to dispose of drained coolant in an environmentally safe manner consistent with your local regulations.
(c) Close the radiator cock.
2) Refill coolant
NOTE:
^ Use Toyota brand ethylene-glycol base coolant.
^ Do not use alcohol type coolant.
^ Do not dilute the coolant, use full strength.
(a) Pour exactly 2 quarts of the full strength coolant into the radiator.
(b) Reinstall radiator cap.
