Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove air flow meter and air cleaner.
2. Disconnect transaxle wire connector, then the neutral start switch connector.
3. Disconnect ground strap, then the throttle cable from throttle linkage and bracket.
4. Remove transaxle case protector, then disconnect speedometer cable.
5. Remove retaining clip and retainer, then disconnect control cable.
6. Disconnect oil cooler hoses, then remove starter motor attaching bolts.
7. Remove two transmission housing attaching bolts, then the engine rear mount insulator bracket attaching bolts.
8. Raise and support vehicle, then drain transaxle fluid.
9. Remove LH front fender apron seal, then loosen six attaching nuts with brake pedal depressed and remove both driveshafts.
10. Remove lower suspension crossmember.
11. Remove snap ring, bearing bracket bolt, then the center driveshaft.
12. Disconnect control cable clamp, then remove 10 engine mount center member attaching bolts and member.
13. Remove stabilizer bar, then the left steering knuckle from lower arm.
14. Remove engine rear end plate, then the torque converter attaching bolts.
15. Support engine and transaxle with two jacks, then remove two engine rear mounting bolts.
16. Lower rear end of transaxle, then remove three transaxle housing attaching bolts.
17. Separate transaxle from engine, then remove torque converter from transaxle.
18. Reverse procedure to install.
