SUBJECT: : REPLACEMENT OF ALTERNATORS ON 1991 CAMRYS AND COROLLAS

Please be advised that effective with 1991 models, TMC (Japan) built Camrys and NUMMI (U.S.) or TMMC (Canada) built Corollas are being produced with Delco Remy alternators. A label placed in the engine room of the vehicle will identify those vehicles with a Delco Remy alternator.

It is TMS warranty policy that the Delco Remy alternators are not to be interchanged with Nippondenso alternators. If a Delco Remy alternator is removed for replacement from a TMC-built Camry or a NUMMI or TMMCbuilt Corolla it must be replaced with a new Delco Remy alternator.

Existing warranty procedures for the use of remanufactured alternators in the remaining vehicle product line apply.
