Overhaul
DISASSEMBLY OF COMPRESSOR
1. REMOVE SUCTION SERVICE VALVE
2. REMOVE DISCHARGE SERVICE VALVE
3. DRAIN COMPRESSOR OIL INTO MEASURING FLASK
Measure the quantity of drained oil because the same amount should be replaced later.
4. REMOVE DISCHARGE COVER
(a) Remove the two through bolts with the SST. SST 07110-61050
CAUTION: Do not remove three screws.
(b) Remove the four bolts with the SST. SST 07110-61050
5. CHECK REFRIGERANT TEMPERATURE SWITCH
(a) Check refrigerant temperature switch operation.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.
NOTE: After inspection, throughly clean the switch before assembly.
6. REMOVE DISCHARGE VALVE
Using SST, remove the two bolts and the discharge valve. SST 07110-61050
7. REMOVE FRONT HOUSING
(a) Using SST, remove the five through bolts.
(b) Remove front housing. SST 07110-61050
8. REMOVE REAR HOUSING
9. REMOVE PINS AND GASKET
10. REMOVE SHAFT SEAL FROM SHAFT
CAUTION: Do not disassemble pump subassembly.
11. REMOVE SEAL PLATE
(a) Set SST on the seal plate. SST 07112-15020
(b) Pull the seal plate out of the front housing. SST 07112-15020
12. REMOVE REVOLUTION DETECTING SENSOR
(a) Remove a bolt.
(b) Remove the revolution detecting sensor.
ASSEMBLY OF COMPRESSOR

Lubricate shaft seal with compressor oil. Fit the shaft seal on the shaft.
3. INSTALL NEW GASKET ON PUMP SUBASSEMBLY
4. FIT FRONT AND REAR HOUSINGS ON PUMP SUBASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL FIVE THROUGH BOLTS
Using SST, tighten the five through bolts loosely. SST 07110-61050
6. INSTALL DISCHARGE VALVES
Using a torque wrench and SST, gradually tighten the two bolts. SST 07110-61050
Torque: 47 kg-cm (41 in.-lb, 4.6 N-m)
7. INSTALL DISCHARGE COVER
(a) Using SST, tighten the four bolts loosely. SST 07110-61050
(b) Tighten the two through bolts with the SST. SST 07110-61050
8. INSTALL COMPRESSOR TO COMPRESSOR BRACKET
Attach the compressor to the compressor bracket with four bolts.
Torque: 260 kg-cm (19 ft-lb, 25 Nm)
CAUTION: Be sure to use the compressor bracket for assembling. Otherwise, correct compressor alignment cannot be obtained, causing compressor lock.

Torque: 110kg-cm (8 ft-lb, 11 Nm)
12. INSTALL REVOLUTION DETECTING SENSOR
Using a torque wrench, tighten the bolt.
Torque: 110kg-cm (8 ft-lb, 11 Nm)
13. POUR COMPRESSOR OIL INTO COMPRESSOR
Add the same quantity plus 20 cc of oil into the compressor.
Compressor Oil: DENSOOIL 7
CAUTION: Never use any other oil instead of DEN-SOOIL 7.
14. INSTALL DISCHARGE AND SUCTION SERVICE VALVES
