Component Test

1. Disconnect the ISC Valve connector and using an Ohmmeter, check the resistance between the terminals.

Checking ISC Valve Resistance:





2. The resistance should be 16 - 17 ohms between terminals ISC1 to +B and ISC2 to +B.
3. Remove the ISC Valve from the throttle housing.
4. Apply positive battery current to terminal +B and negative to terminal ISC1.
5. Check that the valve moves toward the closed position.

Testing ISC Valve Operation:





6. Apply positive battery current to terminal +B and negative to terminal ISC2.
7. Check that the valve moves toward the open position.
8. If a problem is found, replace the ISC Valve.
9. Reinstall the ISC Valve on the throttle housing and reconnect the connector.
