1. Remove spare tire and luggage compartment trim.
2. Remove service hose, Fig. 10.
3. Remove No. 1 fuel tank protector, then set heater control to MAX hot position and remove radiator cap.
4. Connect service hose to engine drain cock, then drain coolant from engine and radiator drain cocks.
5. Drain coolant from two radiator pipe cocks, Fig. 11.
6. Close drain cocks, torque engine drain cock to 9 ft. lbs., radiator and radiator pipe drain cocks to 12 ft. lbs.
7. Connect service hoses to radiator and heater air bleed valves, Fig. 11.
8. Suspend opposite end of service hose connected to radiator to hood stay, Fig. 12.
9. Suspend opposite end of service hose connected to heater air bleeder valve to windshield washer tube, Fig. 12. Do not close-off or pinch tubes.
10. Open water inlet, radiator and heater air bleeder valves approximately three turns.
11. Pour coolant into water filler until coolant begins to come out of water inlet air bleeder valve, then stop pouring and close water inlet valve.
12. Pour coolant into water filler until it is full, then check that coolant levels in suspended tubes come up to the level of the water filler nozzle, Fig. 13. If coolant level in either tube does not come up to filler nozzle level, check tube for folds or obstructions and repeat step 12.
13. Close radiator and heater air bleed valves, then disconnect service hoses.
14. Close radiator cap to the first stop point. Do not tighten cap completely at this time.
15. Start engine and run at fast idle for approximately three minutes, then turn off.
16. Check coolant level and fill as necessary, completely tighten radiator cap.
17. Fill coolant reservoir tank to FULL mark, start engine and check for leaks.
18. Install No. 1 fuel tank protector, service hose, luggage compartment trim and spare tire.
