Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove intercooler, Fig. 1.
2. Disconnect cruise vacuum hose, then the throttle cable.
3. Remove air-flow meter with No. 3 air cleaner hose.
4. Disconnect accelerator cable and necessary vacuum hoses from intake manifold.
5. Disconnect all connectors from intake manifold components as necessary.
6. Remove supercharger.
7. Remove No. 2 air outlet duct and disconnect No. 3 fuel pipe.
8. Remove No. 1 vacuum transmitting pip, if necessary.
9. Disconnect No. 2 fuel hose.
10. Remove delivery pipe with injectors, then remove water outlet with by-pass pipe and EGR valve with pipe.
11. Remove intake manifold.
12. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten attaching nuts and bolts to specifications.
