Fig. 8 Exploded View Of Rear Disc Brake Assembly. MR2:

1. Raise and support vehicle and remove tire and wheel assembly.
2. Temporarily install lug nuts to restrain brake disc.
3. Remove caliper attaching bolts from torque plate, Fig. 8.
4. Lift caliper up out of way and suspend it. Do not remove cylinder from main pin or disconnect brake hose.
5. Remove brake pads, anti-squeal shims, anti-rattle springs, pad support plate and pad guide plate.
6. Reverse procedure to install, torquing caliper attaching bolt to 14 ft. lbs.
