TITLE VEHICLE ALIGNMENT
To adjust vehicle tracking for pulling to the right, the following production changes have been made:
1. A second strut bar spacer has been added to the left strut bar to reduce the left to right caster variance.

REPAIR INFORMATION:
Only for customer complaints of pulling to the right, on Cressida's equipped with Bridgestone tires built prior to the production change, the following repair procedures are applicable:
1. Test drive vehicle to verify the complaint.

2. Set all tire pressures to 32 psi (cold).
3. Check wheel alignment settings (see table below).
4. Only when the left caster angle is greater than the right caster angle, add one spacer to the left strut bar (P/N 90560-18006) .
Caution: Do not add a strut bar spacer to the left side strut bar under the following conditions:
^ When the right caster angle is larger than or the same as the left caster angle.
^ When there are two spacers already attached to the left strut bar.
5. Re-check wheel alignment settings and correct if necessary.
6. Replace the Bridgestone tires with Dunlop tires (P/N 00232-15195-11) .
Caution: When replacing Bridgestone tires with Dunlop tires, all five tires must be replaced.
For best tire/wheel balance results, align the red dot on the tire bead with the blue dot on the wheel.
7. Test drive vehicle to verify that it does not pull to the right.

CRESSIDA VEHICLE ALIGNMENT
When performing the subject repair within the basic warranty, refer to Technical Service Bulletin Vol. 10, Steering, 001 for repair procedures. When submitting a warranty claim, procedures outlined below should be followed:
^ For a wheel alignment and replacement of all tires, the claim should be set up as follows:
^ Claim Type: Regular (RG)
^ Operation Code: 431091
^ Labor: 2.5 hours
^ Original Part Number: 48670-22080 (strut)
^ Condition/Cause/Remedy: Describe repair referencing TSB Vol. 10, Steering, 001.
^ Sublet: Claim cost of replacement tires using "XX" sublet type code.
NOTE: All 5 tires must be replaced.
^ If during the wheel alignment it is necessary to add a spacer in addition to the tire replacement, the claim should be set up as follows:
^ Claim Type: Regular (RG)
^ Operation Code: 431092
^ Labor: 3.4 hours
^ Original Part Number: 48670-22080 (strut)
^ Condition/Cause/Remedy: Describe repair referencing TSB Vol. 10, Steering, 001.
^ Replacement Part: 48670-39017 (spacer)
^ Sublet: Claim cost of replacement tires using "XX" sublet type code.
NOTE: As per Toyota warranty policy, tire replacements will be free for the first 12 months/12,500 miles, whichever occurs first, or until 25% of the original tread depth is worn off, and prorated thereafter. For additional information refer to the 1989 Toyota Warranty Policy and Procedures Manual, page 5-20.
