Vacuum Check Valve: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 48 Testing EGR Check Valve:

1. Remove the check valve from the vacuum line between the EGR valve and the TVSV.
2. Blow air from the orange side of valve through the black side. Air should pass freely. Fig. 48
3. Blow air from the black side of valve through the orange side. Air should NOT pass.
4. If not as specified, replace the check valve.
5. Reinstall the check valve.
