Vacuum Delay Valve: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 58 Testing Vacuum Transmitting Valve:

1. On California models only, find and remove the VTV from the vacuum line on the engine.
2. Blow air through each side of valve. Fig. 58
3. Air should flow from B to A without resistance.
4. There should be strong resistance to air flow from A to B.
5. If not as specified, replace the VTV.
6. Reinstall the VTV in the vacuum line.
