Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Locations

CEC Component Locations:

AIR CLEANER:
The air cleaner is located on the left side of the engine compartment in front of the strut tower.

CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY:
The circuit opening relay is located behind the center dash console, next to the ECU.

COLD START INJECTOR:
The cold start injector is located on the RH side of the engine, on the intake plenum.

COLD START INJECTOR TIME SWITCH:
The cold start injector time switch is located on the rear of the engine, in the thermostat housing.

EFI MAIN RELAY:
Located at front left side of engine compartment.

ENGINE CHECK CONNECTOR:
The diagnostic connector is located on the left side of the engine compartment between the master cylinder and the strut tower.

FUEL FILTER:

EFI Fuel Filter:

The fuel filter is located on the LH side of the engine compartment.

FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER:

Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper (3S-FE Only):

Located on the top, rear of the engine, on the fuel rail.

FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR:
Located on the top, front of the engine, on the fuel rail.

FUEL PUMP:
The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank, in the rear of the vehicle.

FUEL RAIL:

Removing Fuel Rail:

The fuel rail is located on the top, RH side of the engine.

FUEL TANK:
The fuel tank is located under the rear of the vehicle.

INJECTORS:

Checking Fuel Injector Installation:

The four injectors are located on the top, RH side of the cylinder head, below the fuel rail.

THROTTLE BODY:
The throttle body is located on the rear, RH side of the engine, on the rear of the intake plenum.
