1. Using a suitable feeler gauge, measure clearance between driven rotor and pump case, Fig. 15.
2. Clearance should be .0039-.0067 inch. If feeler gauge clearance obtained exceeds .0079 inch, replace oil pump rotor set and/or pump case.
3. Using a feeler gauge, measure clearance between both rotor tips, Fig. 16. Clearance should be .0016-.0067 inch. If feeler gauge clearance obtained exceeds .0079 inch, replace oil pump rotor set.
