TITLE HEATER CONTROL CABLE OPERATION
To reduce the effort required to operate the heater control lever, the cable assemblies, water valve assembly, and the heater control valve have been redesigned. The production change is effective from the frame and date shown below:

CORRECTION METHOD:
1. The new cable assembly must be re-routed as shown below:
2. Route the water valve cable under the instrument panel reinforcement and on the outside of the instrument brace of the driver side. Insert the cable through the grommet on the firewall.
3. Adjusting the Water Valve Cable:
a. Place the water valve lever in the "MAX" cool mode.
b. Locate and clamp the cable with the outer cable housing positioned slightly toward the "COOL" mode of the water valve assembly.
NOTE: AFTER SETTING THE CABLE POSITION, OPERATE THE HEATER CONTROL LEVER TO ENSURE PROPER ENGAGEMENT OF COOL AND HEAT MODE.
