SUBJECT: RADIO EXCHANGE PROGRAM - GOODWILL REPAIRS
In response to the numerous requests by dealers and field personnel, TMS is pleased to announce that effective immediately both Fujitsu Ten and Panasonic have agreed to use the Radio Exchange Program -- currently used for warranty repairs only -- for goodwill radio repairs.
The use of the exchange program for goodwill repairs will greatly facilitate and support our number one goal of Customer Satisfaction.
The program will operate exactly as the warranty program except that goodwill units will be shipped C.O.D. Features of the goodwill exchange progarm are outlined below:
^ The goodwill exchange unit will be sent by the exchange center to your dealership on a C.O.D. basis.
-- The charge will include a pre-establishad repair fee for each model as well as shipping charges.
^ At the time the exchange unit is ordered, it will be determined by date of first use whether or not the vehicle is covered by warranty.
-- If a goodwill unit is required, the charges can be determined at that time by Panasonic or Fujitsu Ten so arrangements can be made by the dealership to pay for the exchange unit when it arrives C.O.D.
^ If goodwill reimbursement has been approved, all charges should be included on the goodwill claim submitted to TMS.
^ Defective units not returned to the exchange stations within 30 days will be debited per the warranty exchange program.
Nots: The primary purpose of the exchange program is to expedite warranty repairs which will be given priority when manufacturer's exchange stock gets low. There may be times, especially for older modal radios, when no goodwill exchange unit will be available.
