Parking Brake System: Adjustments

W/REAR DISC BRAKES
1. Apply parking brake while counting number of notches on parking brake sector. Number of notches should be 5-8 for all models.
2. If number of notches is incorrect, raise and support rear of vehicle and ensure rear wheels move freely. Working through rear disc/drum backing plate, turn adjuster until disc rotor is locked, then back off adjuster 8 notches.
3. Apply parking brake while counting number of notches on parking brake sector. If number of notches is not 5-8, remove rear console box, then loosen locknut and turn adjustment screw until lever travel is correct. Tighten locknut.
