Lower Control Arm
With Independent Rear Suspension1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove cotter pin and nut and, using tool 09610-55012 or equivalent, disconnect lower arm from ball joint.
3. Remove stud rod nut and retainer from lower arm.
4. Remove lower arm to body attaching bolt and the lower arm.
5. Remove strut rod cushion, collar and retainer from lower arm.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque lower arm to ball joint attaching nut to 67 ft. lbs., the strut rod nut to 86 ft. lbs. and the lower arm to body attaching nut to 94 ft. lbs.
