Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed): Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION






1. INSPECT AIR VALVE OPERATION.
* Check the engine RPM while pinching the air hose. At low temp. (Coolant temp.: below 80°C (176°F).
- When the idle speed adjusting screw is in, the engine RPM should drop.

* After warm-up.
- When the hose is pinched, engine RPM should not drop more than 100 rpm.
