SUBJECT: SPECIAL CUSTOMER CARE PROGRAM FOR CAMRY - SSC # J02
Due to the range of vehicle Model years involved in the subject program, the possibility exists that some owners who may have incurred expenses related to brake pedal pulsation sold or traded their vehicles prior to the owner notification program.
To ensure that these previous owners receive an equal opportunity to recover expenses related to this condition, we are currently mailing letters to all identifiable original owners and lessees of from 1983 to early 1987 model year Camrys who no longer own the vehicles.
The purpose of the letter, a copy is attached, is to advise these original owners and lessees that any repair costs or out-of-pocket expenses incurred as a result of brake pulsation may be eligible for reimbursement.
The letter instructs that applications for reimbursement be submitted to the Camry Customer Assistance Center in Torrance, California. Consequently, it is anticipated that there will be minimal dealer and/or regional involvement. However, should a former owner or lessee contact you as a result of this letter, please provide any possible assistance and direct them to the Camry Customer Assistance Center for final resolution.
A letter (copy attached) is being sent to all dealers to notify them of this mailing and request that they provide any possible assistance to owners that contact them. Thank you for your continued cooperation in this important program.
