5M-GE ENGINES

1. Disconnect electrical connector to switch and measure resistance between switch terminals Fig. 36.
2. Resistance should be 30 - 50 ohms below 95 degrees F and 70 - 90 ohms above 95 degrees F.
3. Measure resistance between STA (B+) terminal and ground. Resistance should be 30 - 90 ohms.
4. If resistance is not within specifications, switch is defective.
