Adjustment is usually necessary when the blower motor does not operate at maximum speed when maximum cooling or heating is selected. To adjust, proceed as follows:
1. Remove cover.
2. Disconnect adjusting rod from clamp, Fig. 9.
3. Disconnect double vacuum valve (DVV) to vacuum motor hose in servo unit, to allow vacuum to release. The power servo stem should extend to maximum cooling position.
4. Position damper to maximum cooling position. Connect adjusting rod to clamp.
5. Using an external vacuum source, apply 12 inches Hg. vacuum to vacuum motor. Damper should move to maximum heating position.
6. Install cover.
