1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel and steering column cover.
3. Remove left and right front pillar garnish, Fig. 21.
4. Remove hood and fuel lid release lever bracket.
5. Remove left side instrument panel under cover and lower center pad.
6. Remove two left side air duct clips.
7. Remove right side instrument panel under cover and tray assembly.
8. Remove radio from instrument panel.
9. Remove glove compartment from instrument panel.
10. Disconnect electrical connectors from ECU, then remove ECU from instrument panel.
11. Remove ashtray and cigar lighter.
12. Remove instrument cluster from instrument panel.
13. Remove heater control panel attaching screws, then the panel.
14. Remove cruise control switch and rear window defogger switch, if equipped.
15. Remove pattern select switch, if equipped.
16. Remove instrument panel attaching screws, then the instrument panel.
17. Reverse procedure to install.
