SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: REAR AIRBAG SENSOR:

INSTALLATION

HINT: Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

1. INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR
(a) Check that the ignition switch is OFF.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the battery negative (-) terminal.

CAUTION: After disconnecting the cable from the terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

(c) Install the rear airbag sensor with the nut.
Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
- Installation of the connector is done with the sensor assembly installed. Make sure the sensor assembly is installed to the specified torque.
- If the sensor assembly has been dropped, or there are cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace the sensor assembly with a new one.
- When installing the sensor assembly, make sure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with any other parts and is not pinched between other parts.
- After installation, shake the sensor assembly to check that it is not loose.

2. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH ()

3. INSTALL QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH ()

4. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM LOWER PANEL LH ()

5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRAY ()

6. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH ()

7. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH ()

8. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (Installation)

9. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY LH (Installation)

10. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK HINGE COVER (Installation)

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
12. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
