WINDOW / GLASS: QUARTER WINDOW GLASS: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure described below is for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System)
(a) Remove the roof headlining assembly Removal.
3. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)
(a) Remove the roof headlining assembly Removal.
4. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING (w/ Sliding Roof)
(a) Remove the roof headlining assembly Removal.
5. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH ASSEMBLY






(a) Disengage the 4 clips and remove the roof side rail garnish.






6. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW GLASS
(a) Apply protective tape to the outer circumference of the quarter window, as shown in the illustration.
(b) From the interior, insert piano wires between the vehicle body and quarter window, as shown in the illustration.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to all wire ends.
NOTE: When separating the quarter window from the vehicle, do not damage the vehicle's paintwork or exterior/interior ornaments.

(d) Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the quarter window.
