INSPECTION

1. INSPECT AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the air pump assembly.
(b) Check operation of the air pump assembly.





(1) Check that air does not flow from port A to port B.
If the result is not as specified, replace the air pump assembly.





(2) Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.
- Do not operate the air pump continuously for 2 minutes or more.
- When operating the air pump, wait 5 minutes until the pump has cooled down between each operation. If the pump has not cooled down sufficiently, the motor will burn out.
(3) Check that air flows from port A to port B.
If the result is not as specified, replace the air pump assembly.
2. INSPECT AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)





(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the air pump assembly.
(b) Check operation of the air pump assembly.





(1) Check that air does not flow from port A to port B.
If the result is not as specified, replace the air pump assembly.





(2) Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.
- Do not operate the air pump continuously for 2 minutes or more.
- When operating the air pump, wait 5 minutes until the pump has cooled down between each operation. If the pump has not cooled down sufficiently, the motor will burn out.
(3) Check that air flows from port A to port B.
If the result is not as specified, replace the air pump assembly.
