HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Replacement

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for 3UR-FE) Service and Repair

3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for 2UZ-FE) Service and Repair

4. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

5. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE H

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the water hose.
- Do not apply excessive force to the rear heater outlet water hose.
- Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

6. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE E

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the water hose.
- Do not apply excessive force to the rear heater inlet water hose.
- Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

7. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION PIPE B

(a) Remove the bolt, and slide the hook connector.
(b) Disconnect the cooler refrigerant suction pipe.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant suction pipe.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

8. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE D
(a) Disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

9. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX Removal

11. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY Removal

12. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE DECK BOARD REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE DECK BOARD BRACKET Removal

15. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET FRONT COVER OUTER Removal

16. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET FRONT COVER INNER Removal

17. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat) Removal

18. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat) Removal

19. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE LOWER COVER RH Removal

20. REMOVE REAR FLOOR STEP NO. 1 COVER Removal

21. REMOVE REAR FLOOR STEP NO. 2 COVER Removal

22. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal

23. SEPARATE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH Removal

24. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY Removal

25. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT SUPPORT PLATE Removal

26. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for Standard) Removal

27. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat) Removal

28. REMOVE REAR WINDOW NO. 2 SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH Removal

29. REMOVE REAR SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT

(a) Remove the 2 clips and the air duct.
30. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM BRACKET RH

(a) Disengage the clamp.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and the quarter trim bracket.
31. REMOVE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cover.
32. REMOVE REAR SIDE NO. 1 AIR DUCT

(a) Disengage the clamps.
(b) Remove the clip and the air duct.
33. SEPARATE AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and separate the amplifier antenna.
34. REMOVE FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU Removal

35. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 3 clamps.
(b) Disconnect the 3 connectors.
