HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: REASSEMBLY

REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL REAR EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(b) Install the 2 O-rings to the rear evaporator.

(c) Install the rear evaporator as shown in the illustration.
HINT: If a new rear evaporator is installed, add compressor oil to the rear evaporator as follows.

Compressor oil:
ND-OIL8 or equivalent. Add 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz.)

(d) Install the 13 screws.
2. INSTALL REAR EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Engage the claw and install the rear evaporator temperature sensor.
(b) Engage the clamp to the rear cooling unit.
3. INSTALL REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE

(a) Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, install the rear cooling unit expansion valve with the 2 hexagon bolts.
Torque: 3.5 Nm (36 kgf-cm, 31 in-lbf)

(b) Install the grommet.

(a) Install the blower motor controller with the 2 screws.
5. INSTALL REAR BLOWER MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear blower motor with the 3 screws.
6. INSTALL HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the heater radiator unit as shown in the illustration.

(b) Engage the claw and install the heater clamp.
(c) Install the heater clamp with the screw.
7. INSTALL HEATER OUTLET WATER HOSE

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clips to connect the heater water hose.
8. INSTALL HEATER INLET WATER HOSE

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clips to connect the heater water hose.
(b) Engage the claw and install the clamp.
9. INSTALL WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 clips and slide the clips to install the water pipe.

(b) Install the bracket with the 4 screws.
10. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONNECTOR TUBE
(a) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the air conditioning connector tube.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(b) Install the 2 new O-rings on the air conditioning connector tube.

(c) Move the hook connector in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
(d) Insert the pipe joint into the fitting hole securely and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

(e) Install the air conditioning connector tube with the 3 screws.
(f) Connect the hose.

(g) Install the packing.
11. INSTALL REAR MODE DAMPER SERVO MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using the reference point, install the rear mode damper servo motor with the 2 screws.
(b) Connect the connector.

(a) Using the reference point, install the rear air mix control servo motor with the 2 screws.
(b) Connect the connector.
