HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the rear cooling unit with the 3 bolts and nut.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
HINT: Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.





(b) Connect the 3 connectors.
(c) Engage the 3 clamps.
2. INSTALL FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU Installation

3. INSTALL AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the amplifier antenna with the bolt.
4. INSTALL REAR SIDE NO. 1 AIR DUCT






(a) Install the air duct with the clip.
(b) Engage the clamp.
5. INSTALL COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the cover.
6. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM BRACKET RH






(a) Install the quarter trim bracket with the 2 bolts.
(b) Engage the clamp.
7. INSTALL REAR SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT






(a) Install the air duct with the 2 clips.
8. INSTALL REAR WINDOW NO. 2 SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH Installation

9. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for Standard) Installation

10. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat) Installation

11. INSTALL REAR FLOOR MAT SUPPORT PLATE Installation

12. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY Installation

13. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH Installation

14. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Installation

15. INSTALL REAR FLOOR STEP NO. 1 COVER Installation

16. INSTALL REAR FLOOR STEP NO. 2 COVER Installation

17. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE LOWER COVER RH Installation

18. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat) Installation

19. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat) Installation

20. INSTALL SEAT TRACK BRACKET FRONT COVER INNER Installation

21. INSTALL SEAT TRACK BRACKET FRONT COVER OUTER Installation

22. INSTALL DECK BOARD BRACKET Installation

23. INSTALL DECK BOARD REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

24. INSTALL NO. 1 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

25. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY Installation

26. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX Installation

27. INSTALL NO. 2 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

28. CONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE D
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe.
(d) Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe.
29. CONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION PIPE B
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the cooler refrigerant suction pipe.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the cooler refrigerant suction pipe.
(d) Move the hook connector in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.






(e) Insert the pipe joint into the fitting hole securely and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
30. CONNECT HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE E






(a) Connect the water hose onto the cooling unit.
NOTE: Perform the installation with the hose clip and mark at the correct angle.

31. CONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE H






(a) Connect the water hose onto the cooling unit.
NOTE: Perform the installation with the hose clip and mark at the correct angle.

32. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for 2UZ-FE) Service and Repair

33. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for 3UR-FE) Service and Repair

34. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for 2UZ-FE) Testing and Inspection

35. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for 3UR-FE) Testing and Inspection

36. CHARGE REFRIGERANT Service and Repair

37. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair

38. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair

39. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1 Replacement
